i really dont want to go to camp this year!?

i go to sleepaway camp and this will be my 5th year. i really dont feel like going this year.. its just that its for so long, 2 months.. and i just graduated middle school. next year ill be going to a new school where i dont know anyone (because i went to private school and im switching to public).. i want to spend the summer with all of my friends. they make you do certain activities even if you dont like them, we have to wake up so early, the showers are freezing, theres no internet or phones, ive had so much fun in the past but i really dont want to go this year (it starts saturday) what can i do to make the best out of the summer
no one say just dont go to camp.. i cant do that my parents paid so much money you cant just say you dont want to go 3 days before.
you cant get a refund and i thought i wanted to go back when my parents signed me up last summer.
and i have friends at camp.. its just not fun for me anymore
no one can take my place my camp isnt like that
 
You should've adressed this issue before your parents paid. You could attempt to get a refund from the camp, but usually you sign a contract at the time of payment.

You could try telling your parents the conditions there, but there's no guarantee either of these things will work.
 
If you truly don't want to go to camp, then sit down with your parents and discuss it with them. Explain to them that you are getting older and just feel like you need a summer to relax before you go onto high school. If they really don't understand, then when you go to camp, just concentrate on the fun things. (swimming, seeing your friends, the camp fires, whatever it might be.) Good luck!

I went to camp for about 6 years, and I haven't gone in the past three. Camp was probably the best times of my life and I made so many great memories. Before camp, I thought it was impossible to be entertained without a television or constant contact of my friends and family. But I soon came to realize camp is only as fun as you make it. I would gladly switch places with you if I could! I miss those summers where I could just be a kid and not have to worry about money. But I can't go anymore because I need to work and save up money for college. So enjoy it while it lasts! being a kid doesn't last forever!
 
make new friends, and write letters to all your friends at home. it'll probably be over before you know it, and i'm sure you'll have fun. your friends will still be there when you get home. just keep a positive attitude and make the best of the experience.

I never want to go to camp each summer, but once I get there, I have SO much fun.
You make new friends there, and it's such a great experience.
I'm guessing your going to a high school camp, so that should be even more fun.
