I really don't want to garden?

My mum wants me to go out and get some fresh air because she says that it will be good for me, but she wants me to garden while I'm outside, I don't mind doing jobs but I hate gardening, I have said to her 'can't I just stand around outside' but she is very persistent. Any ideas how to get around her?

well, actually i'm supporting ur mum. i also didn't like gardening but when my teacher asked me i decided to give it a try. it's ok. so why not u give it a try u may like it... =D.

There are always some chores around the house that you don't like. But being a member of the household, we do them anyway.

You might try negotiating for a different outside job, but asking to "stand around" instead of help out is not going to win you point with your mum.

There are windows to wash, maybe a shed to clean and organize...maybe other jobs you're not aware of. Ask here what other outside jobs you could "trade" gardening for.
