I read recently about a four hour office treatment using ketamine for

chronic pain. Does anyone know about it? My roommate has been a chronic pain patient for 27, and is constantly getting his meds pulled out from under him due to DEA and DOJ persecution of doctors and general Drug War paranoia. What meds he gets are just short of controlling the pain. His wife died recently after a log, difficult illness during which he care for her alone because of funding cuts in social programs. During this he was crippled by a VA physician who destroyed an 6 year old regimen that had worked well, compromising his wife's care. His weight went from 210 lbs to 143 lbs at six feet two inches tall. Now with her gone, and with another regimen that falls short, he's losing heart - and energy, and mobility. He's interested in ketamine. He says he thinks it "resets the nerves in the dorsal horn of the spine that mitigate pain, and become damaged in chronic pain." He's constantly being treated as an addict, and he's thinking of this as probably his last hope, but can't find any real information. Any help would be great.
