activated. ATT. Should be worried? Hi everyone, my sister needed a phone number off her sim card but she couldn't check on her phone because her phone got water all over it. So I said that she can put her sim card in my phone (Blackberry 9700, AT&T) and check the numbers through there. A few minutes later, I'm not sure if it was when her sim card was in my phone or when I put my sim card back in my phone, I got a message, subject "Registration," that said "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network.

I got worried because my sister has a Samsung Flight that has a $10 data plan/month and maybe AT&T detected that she put her sim card in my Blackberry that has a $30/month data plan. So what I was thinking was that they MIGHT charge her $30 this month for her data plan because she put it in my phone. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Yes, it is absolutely possible that her data plan could be changed. Any time a SIM card is put in to another device and the device is then powered on the network captures the IMEI of that device. If her old device will power on then she needs to put the SIM back in it and turn it on. If it does not then I would suggest she call Customer Service at 1-800-331-0500 and explain what happened
