Has anyone out there been shopping for cell phones? I went on website for Cricket Wireless and looked at phones and plans. I chose Captr II phone ($59.99) offered $30 rebate (online only). Phone $29.99, Basic Plan $35 + $5 Insurance (loss or damage) Total $71.79 paid over phone with credit card. The sales representative waited until after credit card information was given then told me that there would be a deductible to replace phone.
At no time during transaction did he explain to me terms & conditions and return policy. This was essential information for me the consumer because I would not have purchased the phone. Cricket Wireless Terms & Conditions and Return Policy was not verbally told to me. There is no written terms & conditions or return policy in packaging. I find out now that on their website at bottom of page if you click on link you can read it. The return and refund policy should be posted in full view on web-page for consumer.
I want to return phone which has not been activated or used. Cricket Wireless will only credit back the phone $31.79 and will not credit back $40 for plan. It will take 30 days to receive credit. I want the full credit refund of $71.79 the amount that was charged on my credit card. Have contacted credit card company to file a dispute but not so sure will be able to collect full amount. I will also contact BBB about it. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I really feel ripped off.
