I plugged my dvd player into my tv, but I'm only getting sound how come I

am not getting picture aswell? How can I fix this so that I get both sound and picture??

Have you got the scart cable plugged in? and all the colours plugged into the right sockets? Start with that and if you're still having problems, let me know.
