Like I said, I play the cello, and have been for 6 years. This past week I have been having really sharp pains in my right thumb (bow thumb). If I pop my wrist, it send s surge of pain through my hand, and if I hold the bow a certain way if also hurts. While I'm not doing anything with it, it feels really warm and there's not pain, but kinda of a nagging feeling in the base of me thumb. I have a performance in three days and I don't want this to interfere!
What can I do to make it not hurt/get better? And what are some possibilities of why it started hurting in the first place?
