want money back.? My question is can they try and get that money back? Owner had approved paint and i got payed. Now they say that the bank disliked paint and they want their money back. Can they legally get the money back?
So heres what happened. I wrote an invoice for the set price and the customer and I Signed the invoice that said that the total amount would be payed when the car was completed. I received the check from the customers insurance and cashed it. The car was painted and it had one or two imperfections. Now owner says he wants me to pay him back so he can take the car to paint somewhere else, the truck still belongs to the bank and they said the bank dissaproved the paint and that the bank was going to file a complaint and get the money back. My question is since the invoice says that i would be payed on completion and we both singned it, and since i got payed and cashed the check, can they legally get their money back? I offered to re-paint the car but owner refused due to me not being able to repaint asap but 3 weeks from now.
Can the insurance try and get money back? Even thought the invoice is signed and the check has already been cashed and spent.

The bank can not get their money back. They are not your customer. The guy who asked for you to paint their car and paid you is your customer.

Maybe the customer didn't like the paint? Something does not sound right.
