I own a 2007 Ford Focus with 43,000 miles, yesterday I went to put it in park,?

turn off the car and it won't let me take my key out of the ignition. Would anyone by any chance know what might be wrong with my car?

This is a problem that some ford focus have had try 3 or 4 times turning the key of an on very fast if that dose not due the trick, get a small ball peen hammer and give a light, quick tap in the same direction as how you insert the key. The tumblers are out of place. This tap should pop them back to the correct position and allow you to remove the key.

its not in park or neutral. even if it is, the car thinks that it isn't. might be a sensor.
