...job, how do i get out of paying? this was for my past cutody battle he threatened to drop me so i fired him. they tried to srtong arm me. now 2 years later a collection firm sent me a letter saying i have 30 days to dispute the debt or it will be considered valid. Id rather die than give him one more red cent I allready paid him over 15k for about 7 months while he represented me. He talked me into going for joint custody (which wound up being a lot longer and costly court battle) , rather than what i originally wanted , visitation! What kind of action will be taken? can they garnish my wages? Will they cut the bill in half , if i agree to pay cash? What can i expect?
