I ordered a replacement phone from Verizon Wireless, are used phones pretty legit?

I have a BlackBerry Storm 2 and I cracked the screen. I been paying for that protection plan, and Verizon charged me $50 for a used one. They shipped it over night. Are the used phones pretty good? I'm kind of expecting another phone that has a chip off the end or something or a crack of some sort. I just want to make sure that paying $50 is worth it...

Anyone have the same concern I do?
