I have to write a letter to the board of nurses explaining my criminal record. In 2003 I received three years deferred adjudication for tampering with a government record. I must present reasons why I should be able to obtain a nursing license with a criminal record. I have learned from my mistakes. I was only 22 years old and I failed to report an increase of income while I was on foodstamps. I have paid all of the resitution and successfully completed probation.
