I need to write a Research paper, what should i do?

I need to choose an artist. Research/read about his life and work as well as the period, the style, and the artworks. (i need to choose 3 paintings)
I need it to be interesting so what artist should i choose, and what side should i tackle.
I am thinking of choosing Egon Schiele what do you think?
