You can learn to love healthy drinks. TEA is one that can be made a million ways so you should be able to find a tea that appeals to you and it will be great for you. Helps with hydration as well as the nutrition of the tea.
Also look up your "superfoods" that tend to pack a huge amount of nutrition or help in a number of ways throughout the body. These tend to take turns in the limelight. Lately the stars are pomegranite and acai berries. But if it's good for you it's good for you and always will be. SO consider the various lists out there and make your own list from them with only food you love. Then make a point to keep those items in abundance in your kitchen and learn different ways to serve them. Some of the superfoods include: salmon, blueberries, cabbage, oatmeal, cranberries, apples, walnuts, brocolli, garlic, beans...tons more. But remember, using the junk food variety of these foods doesn't give you the full benefit of the food the way fresh ingredients will.
Use fresh, real, whole ingredients. The old saying is to shop around the perimeter of the store, not through the aisles. Fresh cuts of meat, fresh produce. Stay away from boxes and cans which is aways processed foods. You can duck into the aisles for stuff like whole rolled oatmeal in the round box, canned broth, rice, pasta, and baking supplies. But look for less processing and not artificially flavored, and organic is great options too. Frozen foods, such as frozen vegetables, and frozen chicken, etc. is also minimally processed and a great time saver, as well as helping the budget if your veggies aren't in season.
Of course when you don't buy prepackaged food, you need to learn how to cook it, and you may have to spend time doing it. But that doesn't mean it all needs to be hard or take forever. Take your shortcuts in the prepping steps with ingredients and tools that save on hassles: crockpots, microwave steamers, woks, foreman grill, and food processors. Shortcut ingredients include: bagged salad, fish fillets, kebabs already on the skewer, frozen onions and peppers.
Learn how to read food labels, and avoid foods with names of chemicals in the ingredient list. Every ingredient in a food should be a food item.
Many times you can improve on the nutrition and taste of your fav junk food just by learning to make it yourself and leave out the bad stuff.
