I've tried Plastic-coat's primer and it's rubbish. In the past I've also used tin foil and spray mount to form a barrier but this time I've got lots of curves, so this won't work.
I'll be able to get my hands on a hops fed spray gun so I can spray the paint on or if you know of a good primer I'll just use spray cans.
