I need to make a mass change to an amount of photos. (On a mac)?

Well i need to make many pictures the same sizing like certain height and width, is there any way to do this to a mass amount of photos quick? And i also need to change many photos from jpeg to gif is there anyway to do it so i don't have to change everyone individually?
ANd if you didn't read the title, on a mac thank you!
 
If you have any of the later versions Adobe Photoshop, it has a feature which you can create an 'Action' (in your case, the action would be - resize, export, close), then run automate the action in a batch.
