fishing areas without someone to show you where to and when to is difficult even for pro fishermen but experience on the water gives precedence to novice. Every water impoundment, lake, park, pay to play fishing area in L A and Orange Counties (for that matter, Ventura San Diego, San Bernardino and Riverside as well) are way over fished. But that is not an excuse. Corona lake has fish, Santa Fe Dam has fish but your wording raises a flag for me. One that tells me you haven't read any books on how to fish for certain types of fish and where to fish using what kind of baits for those specific fish. You do not mention any fish species so I picture a drooler with a chunk of cheese waiting for a trout to swim by and there aren't any trout because the water is too hot this late in the year. so why don't you tell us what fish you are targeting, what you are trying to use to catch them and maybe we can help you catch a few.
