My mother is having a ton of health problems, Possibly about to have a stroke. I need to get her to a doctor, but she can't afford insurance and neither can I ( Being reserve status basically has no benefits. ) I know that I should have a day job, but there aren't a lot of opportunities. So Can anyone give me some suggestions ? I know I could be going active duty--but without my mom as a dependent, I don't wanna just leave and have something happen.

Go active duty and use your pay to buy your mom health insurance. Not the best of situations but your not likely to get your mom as a dependant!

If you are active duty and if you are the source of support for your mother you can make an attempt to get her certified as a dependent.
