I need the author and name of a Horror book released in late 80's early 90's?

the book was about things never staying dead, seems like it was based on the end of times, I remember a man that was hung in a tree but could never die, hamburger meat was trying to come back to life anything dead always came back to life. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
