I need some Pre-Baby help!?

I've had some "Twinges," and light cramping... this is a first time pregnancy so I'm totally clueless!
I should be in about the 6th week. I've had some very light cramping... I'm just wondering if that's normal?
I'm going to the doctor as soon as I can, so I'm not looking for people to say, "You need to see your doctor." :)
Please just tell me what your experience has been, and if you think this is abnormal.

...could stress cause the cramping? it's kinda like light menstrual period cramps.

I am sure it is more then likely nothing to worry about.
As long as it does not have you reaching for the floor.
If it gets to bad then you might want to worry.
I had some light cramping and as you get farther along it will get worse.
So don't freak out unless you are bending over in pain, because it is normal to have some aches and pains. Your body is just adjusting. =]]
Good luck and congratulations.

I had the same cramping feeling- like I was about to start my period. My doctor told me that it's normal. Your uterus has started stretching and preparing for the baby. Also... sorry, but it can be gas, too. You're more prone to gas, bloating, constipation, etc. Lots of fun. :-P

And congratulations!

nah, some twinges and a little cramping is totally normal as your uterus prepares to grow with this baby. if the cramping starts getting severe and/or is accompanied by bleeding (not just spotting, but real bleeding, like a period or heavier) then you might need to get it checked out pretty quick, but just a bit of mild cramping is nothing to worry about. and as to whether it could be from stress- who knows? lol, but it IS normal. congrats and good luck to you!
