I need help cropping something out of a picture. For yearbook wee are doing a combined magazine- ipod theme and the only way I can see working an ipod into the picture is to make it an ad for an iPod. So if anyone could please help me crop this pic it would be great!

Here's the pic:

What I am wanting is to have the black shadow figure cropped out so it is just the dancing man :) It is so much easier to trace without all the green! Thanks so much!

Actually, I worked on your image step-by-step as I was typing this, so if it saves you the trouble, I'm going to post its Photobucket link below. Feel free to open it back up in Photoshop & clean up the edges by zooming in & using the eraser tool.

With your image open in Photoshop, you'll need to get the Quick Selection tool (it may be hidden under the Magic Wand tool); it's the fourth tool from the top. Click anywhere on the shadow man & keep clicking until he is completely selected. It's okay if you have some green (like between his headphone cord & right arm). After he is all selected, right click and select "Layer via cut." This will move your shadow man to a new layer. Then zoom way in so you can see to work, get the eraser tool (11th tool from the top), & in the top left of your Photoshop screen where it says "Brush:" change the size to 1 or 2. Erase all of the green, then double click the hand tool (at the bottom of your tools bar) to bring the shadow man back to fit your screen. In Photoshop, open the image you want to put him on. Move the image with the cropped shadow man into its own window by clicking its tab and dragging it down just a tiny bit. Get the move tool (the very first tool), click on the shadow man, and drag him onto the other image! You may need to make the other image smaller if the shadow man is too small, but DON'T make the shadow man bigger... it'll get blurry & amateur-looking. :)
