I need some photography help/advice?

I'm an amateur photography starting to sell my work. Whats the best deciding factor on how much to charge w/o losing profit? Also, if someone asks they want apathy 5x7 size photos, what does the apathy part mean? I'm still new to figuring out fancy terms and learning about photography- advice plz? Thanks!
I obviously know what apathy means, just not when used in a photography context...
 
Haven't heard of "apathy" photos!

Two things I did when starting out was to join ASMP and buy a their book entitled "ASMP Professional Business Practices in Photography" at member discount. Of course, I got a student membership at discount rates at the time. I got tons of good advice from fellow members!

I'd still be a member to this day. I'd happily pay full membership, but I don't live in the States anymore. It's an expense, and totally up to you, and there are other organizations depending on what your business focus is. I'll only tell you that for me it was invaluable.

Sorry I can't give you more to the point advice on pricing, but I've been out of the U.S. market for a few years now.
