I need some help with cooking a batch of brownies!?

I've cooked the batch in the oven and the back of the packet says that I should put a skewer through the middle to see if it comes out clean. I've taken the brownies out and I've cut it open a little and they're cooked right through but still a little bit sticky and wet towards the bottom. Should I put it back in the oven? If so, for how long? I don't want to burn it. It looks well done except for the sticky bits. Btw, brownies aren't meant to cook like cakes right? I mean, don't the sticky bits harden up once you cool them?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)
