I need some advice on a tv...?

Depends on how far you will be sitting from the tv. Closer than 6', 1080p will provide less eye strain. More than 6', larger than 26 is a must, but you could go with a 720p. Tho I don't like plasma, if you do, they are cheaper and you could get a larger tv.
 
I am going to be purchasing a tv as a gift. I know that 1080p's are better than 720p's as far as the quality. However I don't know which size is a better choice. I found a 26 inch tv that is great quality, clear picture, and supposedly one of the best brands out there...But I don't know if I should step it up to a 32 inch screen instead. If I do go up in screen size everything that is reasonably priced seems to be the 720p. Any suggestions?
