i need new speakers for my 97 taurus?

what shape should they be? what brand would you recommend? i don't need fancy speakers or sub woofers or anything. just wanting a set of 4 for front and back b/c mine were blown out when i got the car. i don't listen to my music that loud, so i just need a basic replacement.
 
Your car uses 6"x8" speakers in both front and rear. Most manufacturers today make their speakers in that size as a universal 5"x7"/6"x8" speaker that fits either size opening. If you just have a stock radio then you don't need to buy anything expensive unless you plan to upgrade the system later.
