I need new car speakers, what's best?

I own a 2003 VW Beetle and the speakers are making some unusual noises including rattling, buzzing, and a humming noise. I've made adjustments to the bass and other things six ways from Sunday and nothing helps. It is probably not audible to the average ear but I have very, very sensitive hearing. What are some recommendations on some decently priced, quality speakers?
