I need mechanics help fast!!!! ?

how do you know that a relay needs to be changed and not the fuel pump? I dont want to have unnecessary work done.

it might not be even the relay. check the pump fuse, it might have blown.

Depending on the vehicle in question you may have a FUEL PUMP relay in your Engine compartment fuse box and some are identical like you may be able to trade relays with one for the A/C to test it out(my Neon has matching relays and so does my Dakota) But that is not always true for other cars .

Test for power and ground at the pump, if you have it you need a pump.
