I need Infomations about ETS'ing from the military, and methods to prevent stoploss.?

My fiance is ETS'ing from the military in June 2009..Is there anyway to ETS early, and/or methods to prevent stoploss?

He's already served his time in Iraq, and he just wants simple peaceful civilian life, get married and start a family.


Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

His ETS date won't change, but if he saves his leave days up, he can use them all at the end and out process earlier.

I ETS'd on March 20, 2008. I had about 30 days worth of leave that I never used, so in mid-February, I signed out of the Army and used my vacation days to cover the rest.

He only needs to worry about stop loss if his unit is set to deploy or is deployed within 90 days of his ETS. His unit commander may release him. I fell under the Intelligence Security Command (INSCOM) and the INSCOM Commander did not enforce stop loss. I would be in Iraq right now if he did!
