challenged) summer workers.? We do work (kind of like factory jobs), but we can't be working all the time. Now, coloring books, magazines, and puzzles... ya, those are nice, but it's not very productive (for the individual) if that's all they ever do in their activity time.
Here are some things that we plan to do or have done already: cooking, making silly putty, paste colored packing peanuts on our official poster (banner), made a paper chain, listen to stories on records and cassettes (it bings, and one turns the page for the rest of the story), puzzles, drawing, etc.
We also go outside a lot too, and play with balls and sidewalk chalk.
I need creative ideas, and yes art projects, but I also need ACTIVITIES, like cooking and making silly putty for example. Lastly, and for all of you professional elementary school teachers, you would know what I mean by this, I would ask if you could take into consideration "process over product."
