OK so we have a policy debate regarding the Selective Service System and whether or not it should be changed. I will be debating for the Negative side which means that I am for the status quo, we don't want to change the SSS, it's fine the way it is. The other team, the Affirmative side, wants to change it.
We don't know their plan which is why we need you guys to just throw arguments at us about why you think that the SSS should be significantly changed which can also mean abolished. As the Negative team, we want to be able to deflect any kind of argument that could be made against us from any angle at all.
Also, arguments that are for the SSS are greatly appreciated as well. I just want to be able to shut down anything that gets thrown at us.
P.S. Just in case you guys were wondering, I'm not for the SSS at all. It's just the side that we were assigned.
