I have been jotting down ideas for a story for quite some time i have the characters on paper and the plots, but im having trouble putting it all together, any tips on how to put all the pieces together?
My story is about a group of teenagers, it's in a e4 skins kind of style.
i would put more info up but i dont want to risk having my story stolen, as i have been told by some reliable sources that my ideas are VERY good. any constructive help will be appreciated :)
I already have the plot and characters i just wanted to know how people put all thier ideas together when they are finished brainstorming.

Just start writing the book and see if comes together as you write it. If it doesn't just write about the bits you've already planned. By the time you've finished writing these bits you'll have almost completed the book and you should be able to fill in bits you haven't got pretty easily.

ha ha love the modesty. =]

1. Write down a list of all your plot ideas
2. Write down plot ideas in order. (if you cannot find a way to link one idea or event to the next try to add in another minor event or just leave it)
3. Write up profiles for all of your main characters (appearance, hobbies, flaws etc.)
4. Place your characters into number 2. How would they react in these situations and circumstances? (this will lead to more plot ideas and may cancel some out or lead ways from one to another - you may need to change some of the plot to fulfill the realistic reactions of your character/s)
5. Finalize the sequence of events for your story. Write what will happen when, why and how.
6. Divide the events into chapters. Create chapter cards, stating what happens in each chapter, what characters are there etc.
7. Try writing your story from the beginning, roughly and passionately, ignore the need to be perfect. Write it one chapter at a time, following your chapter cards.

See how you go. If this doesn't help, many books on writing novels are available at libraries and bookstores. If your story ends up being too short, review it add in more subplots, detail and better sentence structure.

good luck and happy writing!

Janet Evanivich, the author of the extremely popular Stephanie Plum series, has a book called "How I Write" I would recommend it. It's one of the simpler how to write books. A good place to start.

But for now:

Her writing style is probably one of the easiest. Her writing follows a linear (in order, no flash backs) time frame with most chapters being one day. She uses a technique movie directors use called storyboarding. She maps out in a few sentences (instead of drawings) the action for each day. Then adds brief notes about the progression of the romantic relationship and secondary story lines. When finished she lines them up and reproduces them on a dry erase board. She then writes within that frame work and can consult her board if she wanders or gets lost.

You could summarize components of your story on say note cards and then visually lay them out until you find a sequence you like. Then create more cards to fill in or bridge gaps and then go from there.

I think I would also go through my notes and number them to the story board card they correlate too.

Hope this helps

Just fill it up with like filler arc stuff.
Or else if you want to stick to your ideas mainly, put it in a order you believe seems to give the story depth and just join them in one after the other or you could always skip to next day or something like that. Another idea is to link it with pasts and like untold future stuff.

Hope i helped

I have the same trouble. But I find inspiration helps me a lot, it keeps me motivated. Also, some people say start where you feel most comfortable, but I don't because I'm scared my writing style will change if I write the middle of my novel and then in one year go back to the start.
Hope I helped, and good luck.

You have to give some more detail about this e4 and for ur idea getting stolen
I think that what you urself can write no one can write it the same
n I'm a writter too
I will not stole that idea of urs as I'm worried about my book the same way
