i need help writing a love poem?

okay, ive been dating my boyfriend about 3months.
me and him are in love with each other. and i just wanna write him a poem idk how to start off or anything. like can someone help me?
 
Here's a love poem I wrote for my EX, he died. Jk he's dead to me though. Maybe it will give you ideas. :D

You Are

You are my safety, my shelter from the pain.
You are my hero, you save me from this place.
You are the one, who makes it all okay.
You are always there, when i begin to drift away.
You are the net, that catches me from the fall.
You are my protector, shielding me from it all.
You are the arms, that hold me when i cry.
You are my moon, my sun and my sky.
You are my day. And you are my night.
You are my everything. You are my life.

and then he broke my heart and I wrote this:

My Biggest Mistake

the words that fall from your lips don't match your eyes.
you spoke of love and hope but i didn't know they were lies.
your lips touched mine and you wrapped me in your arms.
i lived for those promises that assured me of no harm.
you used your false love to build me up and then tear me down.
i let you into my heart only to watch you ice everything you found.
i was simply holding onto something that was entirely fake.
believing those three words was my biggest mistake.

Your poem should come from 'YOUR' heart, not someone else's. How do you think he would feel if he knew someone else wrote it for you?

Well I dont want you to think Im weird but I write poems all the time.

Our love is that of a red rose
Whose splendor rises as the sun shows its face,
Whose petals expand further and richer
Whispering secrets of happiness and affection.

And even though with the fall of dusk
All contentment is swept away,
And the rose's petals unite as one
Reflecting any light that may endeavor to shine through,
The sun will always rise
And the rose's petals will eternally broaden
Until they fully blossom into a stunning creation.

Our love is that of a red rose
Possessing a few imperfections
That may cause evanescent wounds,
But the internal radiance
That will everlastingly bestow healing and comfort.
 
I never really knew you
You were just another friend
But when I got to know you,
I let my heart unbend.
I couldn't help past memories
that would only make me cry
I had to forget my first love
and give love another try
So I've fallen in love with you
and I'll never let you go
I love you more than anyone
I just had to let you know
And if you ever wonder why

You shouldnt do a poem that is kind of cheesy. Just say Im glad I found you your the best thing that happened to me or something of that sort. :D! hope I helped!
 
I'm no poet, but I do write songs. I've felt strongly for a guy before, but never love, so nothing I could give you really applies to you. But maybe you could say something like," When I sleep, I think of you. When I wake, I think of you. When I watch the sun set, or the moon rise, all I see is your face. For the seven wonders of the world can't compare; just that is the most stunning thing the universe has ever known." OK, maybe that'd be more of a poem for a girl, not a guy, sorry, I got nothing else. Really hope you think of something!
