I need help with what my dog eats... is this normal? please read?

Ok I'm just a bit curious. My dog is a Jack Russell cross terrier and he LOVES sausages and eats them up as soon as he gets them but when I give him really REALLY good prime quality steak (leftovers) he buries it. And then like a week later he pulls it out of the ground rotten and coated with dirt and eats it and enjoys it. Weird? or is this normal for a dog like him? please reply.
 
my dog does the exact same thing with very nice food. he hides them and he gets them back whever he feels to eat.... its acually kind of how i eat. i eat the fries first then the hamburger... and the reason he doesnt leave it there in the plate or wherever you leave it is proberbly beacause he is scared that you would take it from him

i think its normal, but i don't think he should be eating that. only give him cooked meat. I mean im sure the dog is fine but that's just gross. lol
