Here are the questions for it..

1. What issue does this political cartoon address?

2. What is the cartoonist’s opinion on this issue?

3. Did you find this cartoon persuasive? Why or why not?

I really dont understand it, and I know some people will find it really easy! Thanks!

It addresses the fact that we would, fight the enemy to clear them out,and at the same time destroy the city we are trying to save.I believe his opinion is that, our means sometimes does not justify the ends,ie,the insurgents are gone, but so is the center of our city.Yes,it gets the point across, you will see a different strategy in Afghanistan,as our forces are fighting more toe to toe w/ the enemy as our forefathers did,to lessen collateral, and property damage,as to not repeat the same mistakes as in Iraq.Less use of mortars, less use of jets, striking the enemy in houses w/ civilians, makes it harder on our men and women, but keeps the anti American sentiment down,as there is enough of that already. .

1) The afghans are in need of nation building and that is what the UN is trying to do..
2) The afghans are still fighting to build a nation at peace...
3) the afghans want protection against the islamic drug lord combination that threatens to destroy any semblance of peace.

this is not really persuasive speach... its addresses more about the reallity of the situation facing the united states and the UN in rebuilding afghanistan...
