In my story there is a race called Lores (they appear like humans however they have greater abilities) and Lores are suppressed and are made into slaves if caught. In my story there is a girl who is born as a halfling (half human, half Lore) and in this kingdom anyone born of half blood is exterminated. Well for 11 years her grandfather (whom she doesn't know is her grandfather) has been keeping the fact that she ia halfling a secret from everyone including her. Usually with halfling they appear like humans and show no physical differences from a human however what separates them from everyone is that they have a trace of immortality and sometimes some powers (ability to control fire, or water you know simple stuff). Well with her she has greater powers as she is able to heal deadly wounds, give people strength by sacrificing some of her own and really just having the ability to control another being. Yet in my story I need to have an event or twist which reveals to everyone that she is a halfling thus putting her in danger and causing her to flee into the Black Forest (where all the Forest Lores hid away). It needs to be a public event which people will witness and instantly accuse her. Something big but still something she is able to escape from.
