I need help with my homework??History!?

I have to write a page about political leaders of the slave industry but im a little confused. do i write about the president during slavery or slaves and other people who tried to end it?
 
On the contrary, I think you are being asked to write about those who advocated and supported slavery, and their reasons for doing so (moral, ethical, economic and so on). There are two sides to every debate. You need to show the pro-slave side and its motivations.
