My powered windows in my ford explorer is not working?
What wiring in under the center console on a 1996 Ford Explorer/Eddie Bauer ?

I removed the center console to clean under it for spilled coffee, etc & now none of the power windows will work. Everything else is working. Although I didn’t clean very hard, I’m guessing the wiring if now off… will disconnecting the battery work to reset it? The wires are all wrapped in heavy black tape for they don’t look very fragile. Any suggestions? Thank you !

First check the electrical connection at the switches, it is unlikely that it pulled out. Then open your owners manual to find which fuse is for the power windows. It is marked under the fuse in the block too, usually "pwr wnd" and is normally a 20 or 25 amp fuse. It is probably blown...

I hope I am not being offensive but a lot of time people forget to check the obvious. Did you check the fuse? You probably have two different fuses, one in the vehicle under the dash on the driver side and another under the hood in a black box. It is unusual that all of the windows don't work so I am guess it is either a fuse or possibly the relay. If the fuse(s) are fine the next guess would be the relay.
