Without seeing the body damage no one can give you an estimate....can you post some pics? I'm an auto damage appraiser/estimator and can help you with that.

You need to take it to a body shop for them to inspect it and give you an estimate. There are a lot of things that could be wrong, bent frame sprung body and so on so with out some one looking at it would be impossible to give you even a ball park figure. But one thing for sure it's going to cost a lot of money.

here is the situation, my father just gave me his 1982 Pontiac Firebird. But it needs to be heavily restored. he wrecked it pretty bad about 5 years ago. he slid off a riven, about 12 feet high, and hit some trees and snapped them off. the passenger side is smashed in by about a foot and a half. It also has some water damage. it has been stored outside under a tarp, and has not been started since that unfortunate day.
I am not that much of a car guy, but this car has a lot of sentimental value. so my question is about how much money could i be looking at to restore it, and about how long till its done. and where should i start, what should i do??? I loved this car, any Intel to get this beast back up to her prime, would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!
