Hitler- Nazi Germany
Musselini- Italy
Japan- Emperor, aligned with the previous two to form the axis.
Joseph Stalin- Communism, was aligned with Hitler, but Hitler betrayed him and invaded Russia (Soviet Union) so the Soviets joined the allies (France, Britan, and eventualy the United States)
Communism = Most extreme form of liberalism
Nazi = Most extreme form of conservatism
Socialism = all people equal, no classes, etc. Good in theory, but fails in practice. Realy leads to communism...
Communism= The result of attempted socialism. Based on the belief of no classes and equal work, but two classes end up forming, the government/military which is superior and has complete control over everything (including what job you will have!!) and the other class being the regular people
Nazism= The belief in the perfect race. Only one race of people are qualified to inherit the earth. Other races are the causes of the world's problems and must be gotten rid of.
Tactics used: Blitzkreig, german for lightning war. Hitler used this to strike targets quickly and take as much land as quickly as possible.
Specific Events: Pearl Harbor, in which the United States tried to remain neutral, by selling arms to both sides, but Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941, thrusting the US to join the allies and into the war
D-day, the allies launched an all out invasion of germany occupied france to reclaim the country comming from the northern shores from England.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki- another tactic used, where the United States used the first ever atomic bombs on Japan. Germany had already surrendered, and the U.S. tired of bloodshed and war, knocked out two of Japan's major cities with only two bombs, forcing Japan to surrender, and end the war. This was the launch of the atomic age, and soon Russia, a U.S. ally, devoloped it's own atomic bombs, launching the begining of an atomic arm's race, or the Cold War.
That's a quick crash course, hope that helps.
