So a guy starts talking to you at a club/lounge, and you dance with him a few songs and he asks you for your number? What do I say? I'm not looking for a relationship at the moment but maybe I'm jumping the gun. I mean just because someone asks for my number doesn't mean they want to date you right? I'm not one to make up a fake number or anything, it's either I give it or I don't.

When I used to go to clubs I would never give a guy my phone number. I would tell them to give me their phone number and after I talk to them for about maybe two months on the phone and I'm comfortable with giving them my phone number then I do. If they can't give me their phone number or they are hesitant about giving it to me then it usually means they have a girlfriend or wife. Tough luck buddy, keep it movin.

If you don´t want to get involved then don´t get involved. It´s certainly not part of club etiquette to give out your number to any Tom, Dick or Harry. On the other hand you may be giving him the wrong impression if you dance with him more than once.

If your at a club or lounge he most likely wants to get together in the future if he asked for your number. I would say that you do not give out your number at a club but you are here most weekends and you hope that you see him next time you are there.
