My father-in-law has a 1995 Jeep Wrangler with a 2.5L L4 engine. I am wanting to help him squeeze as much horsepower out of the motor as possible. It will be rebuilt back up to stock specs and am wondering what "bolt-on" parts are available to help do this. I suggested having the engine bored .40 over and perhaps ported and polished. I already suggested a racing cam and a racing crank, cold-air intake, racing plugs and wires, high-flow headers, a performance head manifold and a 20 P.S.I turbo charger. All of this will most likely de done, but what else can I do to achieve the goal of maximum possible horsepower under the hood. I am trying to reach 100 B.H.P. per cylinder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!
Also, do you know of any good Jeep performance web sites and/or magazines?
