I was thinking about this film the other day, I saw it on channel 5 about 5 years when I was in the middle of having a severer asthma attack . Anyhow, it was a 1970's murder mystery comedy set in a gay bath house.

Not sure I'd want to ever watch it again as it really was one of the weirdest film I think I've ever seen but it'd be nice to know the film actually existed and I wasn't just hallucinating. I've googled and found nothing.

anyone know what it was?

I read the synopsis for Cruising and thought it could well be the film but I just checked the videos of it on youtube and it wasn't the same one. :(

I'm pretty sure it was a 'comedy', though not a very good one and it was kind of like a cross between Murder She Wrote and a Russ Meyer film (but without the tits).

and we have a winner. :D:D:D

thanks spiney2.

Actually, I think I need to re watch it, to see if it was as bad as I remembered it to be.

I can remember seeing it when a student in 1977(!), but couldn't remember the title, got that from google ......

...... it's fairly good natured, sorta gay farce, although i suupose wd now be seen as offensive stereotyping ........

added .......... u might also like Can;t Stop The Music ........

talk about a walk on the weird side.:D Both of those films look amazing, I especially liked the look of Captain Invincible - with an all singing, all dancing Christopher Lee backed by the some Rocky Horror drop outs.

These are definitely my sort of films, thanks for the recommendations spiney.

I think I vaguely remember seeing this one.

I always hated Repo Man but remember Alex Cox introducing some pretty great films back in the late 80's.

Tried to watch Captain Invincible, didn't have much luck on Youtube and the DVD was only released R1 and is now OOP, which means they're asking around

Jan Syankmajer's animations are wonderfully creepy. I was looking at his DVD a few months ago, umming and arring whether to get it, think I might give it a try.
