I need help unlocking a blackberry storm?

my cousin gave me his blackberry storm but i have tmobile. how do you unlock this phone. when i put in my simcard the phone turns on and functions but it say invalid simcard on top, and i cant call or text anyone...HELP! i really neeed help because i adore this phone!!
