I need help understanding my art?

I have always drawn but i cannot draw things i see with ease. its things that come out of my mind. i draw what i call abstract but other say they see things in my pieces. ive been downed by many for this style but i don't know what to do. i would kill to be able to draw things in front of me, but i just cant.

here's a link to one of my pieces in a most recent show. its not very good. i was disappointed.

i used pencil (charcoal & lead) permanent marker, ink, dyes, and acrylic.

i just need help understanding why i depict things the way i do.
 
Your art is best described as mixed media abstract pattern style.

You work from your hidden eye and see things as patterns. Why you do this, only you know.
 
You know, your art, as abstract is really appealing. Really. And, it does not matter that you don´t draw things that you see in real world, your subconcious has a great imagination....that is why they call that sort of art "Abstract"
