i need help regarding the vlc program asp?

i just bought duplicity movie to see on my laptop but i found out the film isnt translated into my own lang.. i wonder anyoptions to help me see the translation lines with the english version ??? if not how can i be able to do so ?//
 
If its the original DVD it should have a menu and you should be able to select your language, otherwise you cant do nothing about it.
 
a quick search on google for duplicity subtitles got me here:

choose your language if available and download the subtitle file. open the movie with VLC, click the menu: Video > Subtitles Track > Open file

Then open the file you just downloaded

This should put the subtitles over the movie.

If the subtitles are not lined up correctly, click the tools menu, then click "track syncronization" here you can advance or delay the speed of the subtitles so that it lines up properly.
