I need help on making my new back garden.?

So Behind my house is a load of fields and looks horrible cause I have horses running through them and making a mess of it. I fenced of a part and flattened the ground out. I then decided to make it into a back garden ( Which I have always wanted since I was little ). Anyway I want to plant trees shrubs and flowers in it, but I don't have a clue about gardening :O What are the nicest looking, cheapest plants that i can get? I have also decide to put a pond in it

Well, the nicest cheapest plants are the ones you see in your friends and families gardens that you think are pretty. Ask them for a start of the plants you like. I tell you, gardeners are some of the most generous people on earth and are more than willing to share what they have. Plus, it is super nice to look at your garden and say that one came from moms, that one from grandma, that one from my friend Angie, that one from my friend Chris, that one from my neighbor Ruth, etc, etc. Plus, if it doesn't seem to be doing as well as theirs, you can get advice from them.

Also, since you are dang lucky enough to have those horses, use some of the well composted manure to amend your soil. Your plants will grow like there's no tomorrow...I promise you!
