i need help on how to unlock my LG CG225?

1. Power off phone, remove battery, and remove SIM.
2. Insert battery. Power on phone without SIM. Shut down again.
3. Re-insert SIM, power on phone.
4. Phone presents "Restricted" screen. Press cancel button.
5. Phone presents "Unlock Code" screen. Enter code number.
6. Phone should indicate that it is unlocked
 
i have the unlock numbers from my carrier i just don't no the process prior to entering the unlock numbers. if anyone no's the process please help.
