I need help installing my new Linksys Wireless G Broadband Router?

I just got a new Linksys router yesterday and i need help installing it. It is a Linksys Wireless G Broadband Router with Speedbooster model WRT54GS v7.2. I install the CD and follow the instructions, but when it gets to checking the connection and checking network adapter it gets stuck and wont go any further. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it
