Ebay is a good place to try, along with local classified adverts (that way you don't have to travel as far).

I would also go down to local dealerships and ask around as to what they have, you never know what cars they have lying in the back lots that have been traded in that they want rid of.

Besides that, Autotrader is a good place to look.

Autotrader's very popular so has a lot of choices.

There are also budget cars on gumtree.com which has local sites and is free to advertise on.
