you shouldn't interfer .. let the MUm cat puit her kittens where she wants to put them .. no wonder she is meowing you keep moving them ..

Here's a way to help the mother kitty and kittens:

Get a box...make sure it's clean and has never had any poisons in it. Cut a door in it high enough so that the kittens can't climb out of it any time soon. Place some CLEAN old clothing or towels in it for bedding and then tape the lid shut. Place this in the least trafficked room in your house...a laundry room would be great...since she can have her food and water placed near the box -- the litter box needs to be a bit farther away if possible -- and the male cat can't get to the kittens. Put the kittens in the box and the mother cat in with them. There's no guarantee that she won't try to move them, but with low traffic and some privacy and protection from the male cat, she may be okay with this arrangement.

It is absolutely critical that you get the male cat fixed ASAP. Look for animal welfare organizations that might offer free or low-cost neurtering or low-cost certificates that local vets will accept.

As soon as the kittens are weaned...about 8 weeks of age...have the mother cat spayed. There is absolutely NO GOOD REASON NOT TO SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS -- if you are not a professional breeder.
They will be healthier for a variety of reasons: outdoor or indoor/outdoor cats will not be as likely to roam; most neutered males will stop spraying (urine-marking their territory); females won't go into heat and so, won't be scent-marking her territory to attract males each time she goes into heat...which is frequently!!!! Also, there are several cancers that can be avoided in the male, as well as female, cats when they have been neutered (spayed).

And, finally, we just don't need more kittens. Responsible pet ownership dictates that you don't let animals reproduce when there are so many animals that die each and every year due to unaltered animals do what they are programmed to do. They die under the wheels of cars; they are abused by cruel, vicious people as entertainment; they are used in sacrificial rites; "free" kittens and puppies are used as bait by fishermen; people who run dog fighting rings use them as "bait" animals to excite their fighting dogs and to be ripped to shreds by those animals; and, finally, the statistics -- which only tell part of the story -- is that from 5 to 9 MILLION dogs and cats are euthanized EACH YEAR. Sad, sad facts.

Please consider all of this and do right by your animals.

Thanks and God bless!!!
